It's become a constant phrase in marketing... Cut the clutter....less is more...... Well, I'm here to tell you that there are times when less is more but most of the time MORE is MORE! It depends what you are speaking of. of course when it comes to media, we don't want to hear back to back commericials, PSA's, consistant talking, and a bunch of Blah Blah Blah from air personalities. (Talk radio aside) We are listening for music and doggone it we want to hear what we want to hear. In this case Less talking is more but More music is more.
Put it this way........ give the people less of what you want and more of what they want and you will acquire more customers, clients, listeners, etc. Simply put.......IT"S NOT ABOUT YOU!!! I beg of you. Stop going into meetings with your theme music playing in all of your smug glory talking about who you are and how great you do what you do. Stop the press! Where does the potential customers needs come in during this 30 minute monologue? Do your research. If you must "shine"....do so with them in mind. (rhymes heehee)
